The 'We're Good to Go' Industry Standard
The free UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark to reassure your customers that your business adheres to Government and public health guidance.
We’re Good to Go has now closed
We’re Good to Go, the industry standard that demonstrates adherence to government and public health Covid-19 guidelines, closed to new applicants on 31 March 2022. This follows the end of Covid-19 restrictions.
Businesses currently signed up are encouraged not to display the certificate after this date and to remove the logo where possible, but are not expected to incur costs in doing so and therefore may retain the logo on any printed marketing material currently in use on the understanding this will not be in place beyond September 2022.
VisitEngland, VisitScotland, Visit Wales and Tourism NI have also been the collective official awarding body for the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travels Stamp. Any business that has used this stamp for their international marketing may continue to do so, until such time that WTTC confirm they no longer run this scheme. However, no new applications will be accepted after 31 March 2022 and anyone wishing to apply for Safe Travels after that point will need to apply directly to WTTC.
About 'We're Good to Go'
To support you as you welcome customers, the 'We’re Good To Go’ COVID-19 industry standard and consumer mark is available to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for businesses, attractions and destinations as well as reassurance to local residents and visitors that clear processes are in place and that as a business you are good to go.
If your business operates in England and you have read and implemented the Government’s COVID-19 reopening guidance, understand the guidance from Public Health England and have a COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place, you can apply for the industry standard mark by simply completing a self-assessment through our online platform. This includes a checklist confirming you have put the necessary processes in place. You will then receive a certification and the ‘We’re Good To Go’ mark to display on your premises and online.
Businesses which welcome international visitors will also be able to make use of the World Travel & Tourism Council’s Safe Travel stamp. The WTTC stamp enables travellers to recognise destinations around the world which have adopted global standardised protocols – so they can experience “Safe Travels”.
A separate application is required for all of your sites as it is essential that each General Manager or site lead understand what needs to be in place and if you operate in different parts of the United Kingdom respective national guidance, including social distancing and cleanliness protocols, must be in place. In England, your business must align with the UK Government’s official guidance for the sector. An ‘alert’ system ensures that if you are signed-up to the standard, you will be notified if there are changes to the official guidance. A call-handling service will provide you with support and assessors will also carry-out random spot-checks to ensure your business is adhering to the guidance.
