Designed to showcase accommodation providers that give the warmest of welcomes, the awards recognise establishments where the owners, management and employees provide incredible experiences for their customers, irrespective of their star rating, style or type of accommodation.
This year’s awards celebrate 100 accommodation providers from all parts of the country including Herefordshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire, Suffolk, Kent, Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The winners were identified through online reviews from overseas as well as domestic visitors and cover types of accommodation from Bed & Breakfasts (B&Bs) / guest houses, self-catering and hotels to parks/campsites, glamping sites and hostels.
VisitEngland Head of Industry Development Pam Foden said:
“From glamping in the valleys to cosy B&Bs in the hills the sheer number of accommodation providers recognised for going the extra mile in this year’s awards demonstrates the outstanding quality of service and innovation of products on offer to visitors across the country. Providing a high level of customer service is crucial to repeat business and the spread of awards shows that the accommodation sector is thriving across the entire country. “
Celebrating the teams and owners whose efforts surpass expectations, the award recipients can advertise their accolade as long as they remain in VisitEngland’s quality scheme.
Last year saw 102.7 million overnight domestic trips with a record spend of £19.6 billion.

About the ROSE Awards
- Nominations are triggered following the annual VisitEngland quality assessment visit and observations by the assessor, but other evidence, including online customer reviews are taken into account. The final judging panel also looks for innovation that sets the business apart. This includes facilities or services offered to make the customer’s stay really special.
