What is it?

Starting a lifelong career in the tourism sector in 1968 that lasted until his death last year, Prof Victor Middleton played a crucial role in inspiring and informing a revolution in thinking about tourism over fifty years, during which tourism saw phenomenal growth.

His teaching, questioning, writing, public speaking and consultancy moulded professional thinking and later shifted entrenched attitudes to tourism in the UK. Blending his commercial experience with academic rigour, Victor was blessed with the happy knack of being able to communicate effectively with both the public and private sectors and with all types of tourism business.

Attendees will hear from tourism experts on the topics of marketing, global tourism, sustainability and education and conclude with a panel discussussion and Q&A including all key speakers. This will be followed by an evening reception.
