On 20 March we held drop-in sessions with Tourism Minister Michael Ellis and 26 English MPs from across the country at Parliament to raise the profile of tourism to government and launch VisitBritain’s new ‘I Travel For’ campaign.
We have also been inviting MPs to show their support for businesses in their area by taking part in a Tourism Constituency Day on Friday 23 March as part of English Tourism Week. Tourism Constituency Day is an opportunity for MPs to visit local businesses and gain a fuller understanding of the benefits of tourism to the local economy.
