Boost for UK Business Events sector as VisitBritain/VisitEngland welcomes new team appointment ahead of The Meetings Show.

Caroline Phelan joins the team as MICE Manager Europe, based in Paris. She will be the point of contact for business event organisers in Europe looking to bring business to Britain, and provide a route for destinations to access buyers in European markets.

She will hit the ground running, attending The Meetings Show, sponsored by VisitBritain, in London this week.

Caroline brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in sales and marketing in the French-speaking MICE and tourism sector for over 20 years. VisitBritain is committed to growing the UK’s valuable business visits and events sector and promoting its world-class destinations and venues to drive more inbound business tourism. Caroline will help bring more high value European MICE groups into Britain, growing its share of this important market.

The Meetings Show is the premier event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry. It will be held on 13 – 15 June at Olympia London.

The event will bring 400 international buyers to the UK, meeting more than 275 British exhibitors, and is expecting more than 3,000 industry professionals.
