We would like to invite you to Taking England to the World - a training programme which aims to help your business reach new customers and grow your revenue.
Developed as part of the Government’s £40M Discover England Fund and created and delivered by industry experts, this free course is designed to equip you with the skills and foundations to develop and promote your product for sale in key markets.
With content covering all aspects of getting ready to work with the travel trade to attract new customers, this training course will cover an overview of the key markets to England - providing information on insights and research, marketing, product development, distribution and partnerships to create a fully rounded training offering.
Who is it for?
This training programme is aimed at suppliers from all sectors of the English travel industry – from accommodation to attractions, and from excursions to experiences. Whilst particularly suitable for SMEs, larger organisations are also welcome to attend.
How are the sessions delivered?
There are two delivery modes for this training programme. You can choose to attend face to face, which involves a full day training programme between 9am and 5pm, OR you can choose a virtual session, which is delivered across 3 consecutive weeks, each consisting of a two-hour virtual session. You are expected to attend the full session, meaning the full day for face to face, or all three sessions for the virtual delivery.
What is the cost?
The training is offered free of charge, and lunch and refreshments will be provided. Spaces are limited, and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Although the event is offered free of charge, a £25 no show fee will apply if a registration has not been cancelled within five working days of the event, to cover costs.
Below you will find registration links for the face to face and virtual sessions. Once you register, you will receive email communications with further details including details of the event, joining instructions and where you can download a copy of the Taking England to the World Toolkit. For face to face sessions, you will receive a briefing pack approximately 5 working days prior to the event. For virtual sessions, you will receive registration and enrolment emails for the online learning portal ‘VisitEngland Academy’ approximately 2-4 weeks prior to the first session.
Please note, you may only register for one event. If registration is detected across multiple events you will be contacted to choose your preferred in order to free up space for other attendees. Registration is also non-transferable without prior approval from the team.
