Charlene leads on VisitBritain’s B2B and travel trade activity in China, manages the virtual and offline trade engagement plan and event delivery, and works with the Chinese travel trade to increase the volume and value of visitors from China to Britain, through both leisure and business tourism. 

Under the current pandemic situation in China market, our focus has been doing destination training to the trade partners, delivering livestream projects to bring British POIs alive to our Chinese audience, maximizing the collaboration with partners of the travel industry in Britain to promote amazing tourism content via events and social media channels.

Joi focuses on leading bespoke key account management and engagement with key travel trade in East & Central China, tailoring programmes accordingly to ensure Britain's product is being promoted to the customer and driving incremental volume and value to the UK. Champion Business Tourism in China with a focus to develop incentive opportunities, networks, leads and insights.

Our B2B manager Shuja Mehdi is based out of the British High Commission in Delhi. He has been associated with VisitBritain in India since 2011. Shuja leads on travel-trade activities & commercial partnerships for VisitBritain in India.

Shuja holds extensive knowledge on the destination and is always happy to help the Indian travel-trade promote Britain and showcase the country better to their travellers.

Our B2B executive Tishtar Parakh is based out of the British Deputy High Commission in Mumbai and has been with VisitBritain since 2019. She is passionate about the UK and determined on showcasing the rich heritage and culture of Britain to the Indian trade. Tishtar co-leads on travel-trade activities & commercial partnerships for VisitBritain in India.

Shuja and Tishtar are both travel enthusiasts and share a common interest in growing tourism from India into the country.
