Billing itself as Britain’s first fully net-zero carbon hotel, this 142-bedroom, eco-conscious voco Zeal marks a milestone for IHG Hotels. Situated at the entrance of Exeter Science Park, this four-star offering is specifically designed to meet the UK Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Framework. Guests can expect an all-electric operation and EV charging aplenty, as well as solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and interiors created from sustainably sourced timber. Facilities include a restaurant and bar showcasing local produce, a gym, meeting spaces and landscaped gardens – all powered by green thinking.

Following an extensive refurbishment, this stately Scottish retreat is back in business with refreshed interiors and a renewed focus on luxury leisure. Originally a 19th-century mansion, Mar Hall blends period architecture with five-star pampering, offering championship golf, a spa, and riverside tranquility just a 10-minute drive from Glasgow Airport. Post-refurbishment additions include a 24-person private cinema, a gaming room and a billiards room. Whether guests are teeing off or doing laps in the 20-metre swimming pool, the 240-acre resort is designed with rest and relaxation in mind.

Hilton lands the Tapestry Collection on the North Antrim coast with The Marcus Portrush, a stylish new build perched in the beach resort town of Portrush. Situated less than one mile (1.6km) from Royal Portrush Golf Course, the home of the 153rd Open in July, guests can expect sweeping Atlantic views, contemporary coastal interiors, and immediate access to both golf courses and surf breaks. The four-star, 80-room hotel marks the first time that Hilton has taken its signature Tapestry Collection brand to Northern Ireland and is a sleek new base for exploring the Causeway Coast – the World Heritage-listed Giant’s Causeway is just eight miles (13km) away.

Just two minutes from Victoria Station, The July London Victoria will be the first overseas acquisition for Amsterdam-based hospitality operator The July Group, following its rebrand from CityID last year. Inspired by the nearby theatres, the hotel’s Art Deco interiors promise a dash of old-school glamour with a modern twist. Designed as a hybrid apartment-hotel, it will offer a co-working area, bookable meeting rooms, a gym, sauna, and cold room, alongside a restaurant, bar, and a deli for quick bites. The July Group describes the space as a hub for guests, foodies, locals and neighbouring businesses to ‘hang out or hide out’.

The Zetter Bloomsbury marks the brand’s first new opening for 10 years. Located near Russell Square and overlooking the British Museum, the hotel will comprise 72 bedrooms and suites, alongside a number of bar and event spaces. These will include The Sitting Room – where the traditional check-in desk will be replaced by a cosy bar complete with complimentary arrival cocktail – and a breakfast area known as The Orangery, featuring vast glass windows and a fireplace. James Thurstan Waterworth, former European design director of Soho House, has been enlisted to oversee the hotel’s look.

Set to open in late 2025, Teffont House is the Beckford Group’s first hotel venture, transforming the 17th-century Howard’s House in the heart of Wiltshire. Set in the idyllic village of Teffont Evias, around 11 miles (18km) from Salisbury, this 17-bedroom retreat will feature a new orangery dining room, a mini spa, and a walled garden supplying fresh produce to the kitchen. Nestled in Wiltshire’s Nadder Valley, each en-suite room is set to provide a tranquil countryside escape.
