Beth Knight

Beth was appointed to our Board in October 2023. She is a leading figure in social impact and sustainability.

Winner of the Great British Businesswoman Award 2022, she is an experienced business transformation and systems change strategist. She is a working mother of two and is passionate about equal rights and diversity, tackling climate change and innovating through technology. She is currently an independent consultant and board director with positions ranging from Chair of Save the Children’s corporate advisory board to Domain Expert for Carbon13’s venture builder in climate tech.She is a Senior Associate at the University of Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and is Head Tutor for the Business Sustainability Management executive education program.

Her prior roles have included Head of ‘Amazon in the Community’ Leader for Europe, Global Markets Associate Director at EY, and Head of Corporate Sustainability for EY’s Financial Services business. As a member of the GRI stakeholder council for a full four-year term, she advised the GRI Board of Directors on strategy and policy changes related to international reporting standards.

She was also part of the trailblazer group that launched the first UK Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CRS) Apprenticeship standard - improving the access to sustainability careers for individuals from under-served and under-represented backgrounds. She has lived and worked in Europe, Jordan, India, Indonesia, Kenya, and the US. 

She has a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge. She has authored thought leadership on organisational psychology, sustainable finance and behaviour competencies of effective sustainability leaders, which has been published in leading academic journals and business literature.
