Guidance

It is a legal requirement to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment if you provide tourist accommodation in England, regardless of your business size.

New guidance for making your small paying guest accommodation safe from fire was published in March 2023. From 1 October 2023, all businesses are required to record their Fire Risk Assessment.
