First up, tackle the Silverstone Circuit Driving Experience in Northamptonshire. With a professional instructor by their side, visitors can drive around the track and follow the racing line of their sporting heroes, taking in all the twists and turns of the renowned circuit. It’s fast, furious, and unforgettable. For more thrills, head north to Scotland. The Formula Racing Car Experiences at Knockhill in Fife offer the real deal: formula-style cars and pro tracks. Visitors will get to experience the excitement of driving on a track used for motorsport events and will be guided through every corner. In South Wales, jump into a Ferrari or Lamborghini and hit the Llandow Circuit, where visitors can put their skills to the test on a more compact but exhilarating track. With a choice of supercars, it allows car enthusiasts to push their driving limits surrounded by lush Welsh countryside. Prefer something a little more off-road? The Land Rover Driving Experience, available at various locations across Britain, invites visitors to tackle wild, rugged landscapes in one of the country’s best-loved 4x4s. It’s less about lap times, more about muddy climbs, bumpy descents and pure adventure.

Let’s take it back to where many F1 drivers began their journey to stardom – the humble go-kart. At TeamSport tracks nationwide, budding Lewis Hamiltons and Max Verstappens can live out their dreams, dashing round tight bends and battling with other karts. For a futuristic twist, head to East London where Gravity-Global’s e-Karting track in Stratford offers a high-tech, eco-friendly twist on the classic. Picture sleek electric karts, super-smooth circuits, and the buzz of racing without the roar. For digital racing, dive into the virtual world at the F1 Arcade in central London or Birmingham. Here, visitors will find state-of-the-art simulators, and a buzzing social scene. It’s Monaco meets Mario Kart, with cocktails and scoreboard.

If Formula One is the pinnacle of motorsport, the Goodwood Festival of Speed (10 to 13 July 2025) is the playground. Set against the elegant backdrop of Goodwood House in West Sussex, this four-day celebration is a glorious blend of top-tier engineering and eccentric British flair. Watch as everything from jet-powered bikes to futuristic hypercars and classic vehicles tackle the estate’s famous hill climb. There’s also a vibrant paddock, immersive tech showcases, family-friendly zones, and even a chance to get hands-on behind the wheel. It’s part garden party, part motoring nirvana – and definitely one for the memory box.

Tucked away in the New Forest in Hampshire, the National Motor Museum is where Britain’s love affair with motoring comes to life. This museum houses more than 280 vehicles, each telling a chapter in Britain’s history of speed. The F1 section is a top attraction, featuring treasures like the McLaren Mercedes MP4/21. Explore interactive displays, see record-breaking machines up close, or take a spin on the outdoor monorail for a unique view of the action below. Film and TV enthusiasts can look forward to the ‘On Screen Cars’ exhibition, featuring vehicles such as Mr Bean’s Mini, the ‘flying’ Ford Anglia from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the Jaguar XKR from the James Bond film Die Another Day, and Doctor Who’s beloved car, Bessie.

Whether visitors are curious to explore Britain’s racing heritage or simply want to feel the rush for themselves, 2025 is the year to embrace Britain’s love of speed and adventure. With landmark anniversaries, cinematic moments, and hands-on experiences across the country, this is a celebration of all things fast and fabulous.
