Manchester Airport’s first luxury hotel has touched down just minutes from the terminals. Dakota Manchester Airport offers 154 bedrooms and suites for a plush pre- or post-flight stay. All-day dining is available at The Grill, an Art Deco-inspired space specialising in premium steaks. The airport’s two passenger terminals are a 12-minute walk away, or a complimentary shuttle can be pre-booked. Guests can also take advantage of the Park, Stay & Fly package, which include an overnight stay, valet parking and a chauffeur-driven airport transfer.
NYX Hotel Edinburgh
Opened July 2026
European brand NYX Hotels has opened its first Scottish location in Edinburgh’s Old Town. NYX Hotel Edinburgh’s 125 rooms and suites feature DREAM beds, mood-setting lighting and Nespresso machines. The interior design is bold and playful, with colourful murals and soft furnishings. Guests can enjoy South American-inspired fare and cocktails at the industrial-chic CLASH Restaurant & Bar, which will also host weekly DJ sessions with Edinburgh artists. The property sits next door to the Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh, run by NYX’s parent company, with easy access to Waverley Station and the Royal Mile.
The View, Thurso
Opened August 2026
Visitors travelling along Scotland’s NC500 have a new stop-off in The View, a newly renovated aparthotel in Thurso. The Caithness property marks the first opening for Scottish hotelier Bide, who are also launching in Ballater and Montrose in October 2026. There are nine refurbished rooms, each kitted out with kitchenettes and offering self check-in for added convenience. Guests can enjoy views across Thurso Bay to Orkney on a clear day, and may even be lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights from October to March thanks to the area’s pristine dark skies.
The Imperial, London
Opened August 2026
The Imperial Bloomsbury has reopened after a decade-long refurbishment, becoming Imperial London Hotels’ first lifestyle property. Opened in 1904 at Russell Square, the site’s redesign embraces the creative spirit of the decade it was built. New additions include Arcus, Bloomsbury’s first rooftop bar and restaurant, with near-360º views of London. Some of the 357 rooms and suites now come with private gardens and outdoor tubs for inner-city escapism. Other quirky new features include GPO room phones, complimentary Chopper Bike hire and a curated board game collection.

Parade Hotel Bath
Opens September 2026
Bath’s former Parade Park Hotel is set to reopen in autumn 2026 as the Parade Hotel Bath, following a sympathetic refurbishment to the Grade I-listed property. Comprising three Georgian townhouses in the city centre, the hotel will boast an expanded capacity of 49 bedrooms, from Snug rooms to Suites. Breakfast will be served in the new 1748 Bar & Lounge, with an emphasis on West Country produce, while the Courtyard Spa will feature a sauna, cold plunge, hot tub and more. A restaurant will open as part of a second phase in late 2026.
Hyde & Seek London Hyde Park

The former Corus Hotel Hyde Park is relaunching as Hyde & Seek London Hyde Park after a £42m renovation from owners Immersive Hospitality Management. Now part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, the hotel is being revamped with a 1960s and 1970s aesthetic in mind, with nods to nearby Hyde Park in its nature-inspired colour scheme. Guests can choose from 309 rooms featuring smart TVs, coffee machines and Grown Alchemist toiletries. Dining options include the Seekers Restaurant, for modern British cooking, and the HydeOut, an all-day lounge and coworking space in the new glass-roofed courtyard.
Elysium St Mawes, Cornwall
Opens autumn 2026
The Cornish fishing village of St Mawes will welcome the first opening from new British hotel brand The Elysium Collection. The Ship and Castle Hotel on the harbourfront will become the 56-bedroom Elysium St Mawes, redesigned in collaboration with 3DReid, the studio behind Gleneagles. The property will feature state-of-the-art spa facilities and a bespoke treatment menu in partnership with British skincare brand TEMPLESPA. Dining across the collection will be headed up by Stephane Delourme, former head chef at Rick Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant.

The Medlock Hotel, Manchester
Opens October 2026
From football at the Etihad Stadium to gigs at Co-op Live, The Medlock Hotel is on the doorstep of Manchester’s newest entertainment district, Medlock Square. The 401 bedrooms include 10 Pitch View rooms overlooking Manchester City’s home ground. There’ll be all-day dining in the hotel’s brasserie, while more stadium views await over a cocktail in the Sky Bar.
