Grand Hotel Leicester

Reopened February 2026

The newly revamped Grand Hotel Leicester has reopened as part of The Unlimited Collection from real estate company The Ascott Limited. The Victorian property has been a Leicester landmark since 1898 and is the city’s only surviving hotel from that era. There’s a nod to founder Orson Wright in the hotel’s new O.W restaurant and bar, where diners can enjoy classic-meets-contemporary British fare and afternoon tea. The 104 individually designed bedrooms include two Grand and 19 Premier rooms, and there’s also an events space catering for up to 300 guests. The hotel becomes The Unlimited Collection’ eighth site globally, joining British stablemate Mount Royal Edinburgh.
