Marriott has launched its largest Aloft hotel in Europe at 325 Deansgate – a new 22-storey skyscraper with panoramic views across central Manchester. The 358-bedroom Aloft by Marriott Manchester City Centre is conveniently located next to Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop and Deansgate railway station for easy access. The property features Re:Fuel by Aloft, the brand’s grab-and-go food and drink hub, and the rooftop WXYZ Bar, with cocktails and live music. Families are welcome, with Camp Aloft surprises for young travellers, and pets are well catered to with toys and treats.
The NICI, New Forest and Cornwall

The NICI Group, the brand behind The NICI Bournemouth, is enjoying a double expansion in June with two new hotel launches. First up is The NICI New Forest, which has transformed Lymington’s Elmers Court Hotel into a year-round coastal retreat inspired by the Hamptons. The revamped property has 118 bedrooms, a state-of-the-art spa and two restaurants. Over in Cornwall, the 82-room NICI Newquay takes its interior inspiration from the Italian Riviera. Its offer includes complimentary surf lessons on Newquay’s world-class waves, while spa facilities, an outdoor pool and new restaurant are set to open later.
The Address Wren, Glasgow

The Address Collective has added to its stable of luxury Scottish and Irish hotels with the opening of The Address Wren, its second Glaswegian property. The Address Wren brings 30 design-led rooms to the top floor of the Caledonian Chambers, overlooking Glasgow Central Station and its famous glass roof. Guests can even access the hotel directly from the station for added convenience. NORTH offers contemporary Scottish dining – try spiced haggis bon bons and a twist on Tunnock’s teacakes – while The Parlour lounge is a stylish social space.
Mad Swans in The South Downs, Hampshire

A former Hampshire golf club is teeing off its new era as a boutique countryside resort. Mad Swans in The South Downs features eco-cabin and lodge accommodation, à la carte dining and a whole host of family-friendly activities – although golf is still the star of the show. Guests can enjoy a 12-hole golf course designed by Mackenzie & Ebert, where the golf buggies feature drinks fridges drinks and even a mini sound system. Other sports on offer include padel, pickleball, darts and shuffleboard.

Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere

Following a £60m redevelopment, Cheshire’s The Mere is reopening under the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts umbrella. The lakeside property, near Knutsford, will see its capacity increase from 81 to 116 bedrooms, including 27 suites. It will also feature revamped dining facilities, including a soon-to-launch restaurant concept from Gordon Ramsay. A highlight of the 157-acre estate will remain its 18-hole Championship golf course designed by James Braid and George Duncan. Guests can also enjoy a refreshed wellness offer which includes three pools, seven thermal experiences and a Technogym fitness studio.
Point A Edinburgh, St Andrew Square

Budget-boutique chain Point A will launch its second Edinburgh hotel at St Andrew Square, where guests will enjoy views across Edinburgh Castle and the New Town Skyline. The Sir Basil Spence-designed property will retain original features like its striking lobby and sculptural helix staircase. The 206 bedrooms – 148 doubles and 58 twins – will span six floors and their décor will be inspired by the Danish hygge concept of cosiness and conviviality. Other facilities include a bar and breakfast area, luggage store and communal ironing room.
Hyatt Regency London Olympia

As part of its £1.3bn regeneration, London’s Olympia exhibition complex welcomes a new five-star hotel to its accommodation offering: the Hyatt Regency London Olympia. The 204-room property will have direct access to Olympia via a glass corridor, a convenient addition for conference visitors. On-site are two food and drinks spots: light bites at Lounge Café and Bar, and grab-and-go fare at Hotel Market. Hotel guests will also enjoy exclusive priority access to the nearby Pillar Hall restaurant and speakeasy.
The Shepherd Mayfair, London

The Shepherd Mayfair draws inspiration from the 18th and 19th-century mansions that are synonymous with this historic quarter of central London. Situated on the site of the former Park Lane Mews Hotel, The Shepherd will offer 82 bedrooms and suites across six floors. Rooms are individually and characterfully designed, featuring window seats, marble bathrooms and bespoke Floris amenities. Guests will have three food and drink spots to choose from: British brasserie Fayre, coffee shop The Lounge and late-night cocktail bar Teddy’s.
