Bristol is a city that needs no introduction when it comes to street art. Home of iconic stencil artist Banksy, see graffiti drenched walls round every corner. Wallace and Gromit fans, don’t miss the Cracking Day Out in Bristol mural on Quaker’s Lane, dedicated to the creativity of local legends Aardman Animations and featuring some of the studio’s iconic characters. Look out for UPFEST, an annual urban art festival that brings big names and big designs, indie stalls, and creative workshops to the city.

Home to seven bridges, the Angel of the North, and some of Britain’s most vibrant nightlife, Newcastle’s cultural credentials just keep growing. Foodies will fall for its restaurants, markets and breweries, while hipsters can’t get enough of its unique galleries, live music and vintage shops.
