Business events are a vital part of the UK tourism industry. A leading destination for hosting international business events we have world-class destinations and venues, With a focus on attracting, growing and retaining international business events, our work aligns with that of the Events Industry Board that promotes the events sector within the UK and delivers the UK Government’s International Business Events Action Plan. We work in partnership with the nations and regions of the UK to add value to their work in this sector.
The Business Events Growth Programme which we implement and deliver forms part of Government’s commitment to build the business events sector, supporting the attraction of international business events which align with the Government's priority industry sectors. We also drive demand for shorter lead time events, corporate meetings and incentives.
For England we are supporting the recovery of the Business events industry through our educational webinar programme and by providing opportunities for key partners including Destination Management Organisations and Visitor and Convention Bureaux to meet and build relationships with event buyers and ultimately attract events to the country.
