Rebecca is Head of Visitor Economy at DCMS. She leads policy and delivery projects to support government objectives to boost the recovery and growth of UK tourism to benefit every area and nation of the UK and enable the tourism industry to become more resilient, sustainable, inclusive, and innovative.
She was previously the International Director at the UK Space Agency, leading partnerships and maximizing the wider social and economic impact of the space sector in the UK.
Rebecca has held posts in the UK and overseas for DBT, FCDO, and the Cabinet Office, leading teams to boost international cooperation on dementia, coordinate the crisis response and design of humanitarian programming to support Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, and drive the UK’s leadership of international partnerships and strategies to tackle people trafficking and modern slavery.
Prior to joining the Civil Service, Rebecca worked in a number of business development and external affairs roles in the private and not-for-profit sectors.
