Update on IPS monthly data

Monthly publications are currently suspended by the ONS due to ongoing work on the Travel and Tourism Reform project. Therefore, monthly data is currently only available with the quarterly publications. In addition, data for 2024 is at the GB level due to the changes in the way the Northern Ireland data is being collected on 2024.

Please see the ONS website for the latest updates on planned improvements to the travel and tourism statistics.

About the survey

The International Passenger Survey (IPS) is a continuous survey carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). It covers all major air, sea and tunnel ports, providing detailed information on the numbers and types of visits made by people travelling to and from the UK.

Please see About IPS for further information and the ONS.
