Diners can choose from relaxed brunch dishes to modern, brasserie-style evening menus soundtracked by live jazz. Moods, Leeds
Opened July 2026
Leeds’ First White Cloth Hall has welcomed Moods, the latest venture from husband-and-wife team Will and Hayley Moody. Situated on Kirkgate, Leeds’ oldest street, the venue dates to 1711 and was home to the city’s first covered cloth market. It opened in July 2026 as a café-bar serving speciality coffee and an in-house patisserie, with the restaurant coming this autumn. The kitchen will be led by head chef Craig Rogan, who trained at his father Simon’s Michelin-starred L’Enclume. Signature dishes include wild mushroom crumpet with Old Winchester cheese and black truffle honey, and fried chicken brioche with elderflower and pickled cucumber.
Hendersons, Glasgow
Opened July 2026
Hendersons is the latest addition to the thriving independent food scene in Glasgow’s Southside. The restaurant, which specialises in vegetarian and vegan fare, was founded in Edinburgh by Barrie Henderson in 2021 following the closure of the original Henderson restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Glasgow branch offers brunch, an evening à la carte menu and a Sunday roast, plus an original cocktail menu. Diners can expect dishes packed with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients where vegetables are the stars of the show.
Kalinga, Glasgow
Opened July 2026
Masterchef: The Professionals star Sagar Massey has opened his first restaurant in Glasgow city centre, following the success of his Southside restaurant Angeethi. Massey, who moved to Scotland from India as a teenager, has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for his cooking at Angeethi. Brasserie Olivia, London
Opened July 2026
On the corner of Sloane Square in Chelsea, Brasserie Olivia puts a fun spin on the traditional French brasserie offering. The 160-cover spot marks the first international opening from French restaurant group La Nouvelle Garde. The classics are all there, like salade niçoise and boeuf bourguignon, but diners can also tuck into sausages and mash with a Gallic twist. The brasserie’s ingredients are sourced from top to toe of Britain, but there are a few special products that have crossed the Channel too, like the Maison Millas saucisson. And not forgetting the lengthy wine list, which can also be enjoyed downstairs in the Venus Bar.

Sǣl, Birmingham
Opens August 2026
After a series of pop-ups, chef Jonny Miller has found a permanent home for Sǣl in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The chef’s table restaurant has just eight covers set around an intimate counter, where a seasonal, produce-led tasting menu will be served. Fitting, then, given its name is an Old English word for the gathering of townsfolk to celebrate the harvest. Asher Beardsmore, who previously worked at two-Michelin-starred Opheem, will look after front-of-house and the drinks menu.
Soraya, London
Opens August 2026
The Pachamama Group, behind London’s Nina, Zephyr and Lagana restaurants, are bringing all-day Persian dining to Marylebone with their latest opening. Slotting into Baker Street’s Loxton Walk development, 190-cover Soraya will focus on communal feasting that transports diners to Tehran. Breakfast menus will include omelettes and eggs benedict with a Persian twist, while flavourful kebabs and other grilled meat dishes to share will be in the spotlight for lunch and dinner. A rotating cheesecake line-up means it’s well worth leaving room for dessert, too.
