Card spending insights dashboard

Explore inbound card spending in Britain using data from ‘Visa Destination Insights’.

Tips for navigation: 

  • Use the slicer at the top left of the page to filter by region type, spend category, card type, and spend type.
  • Region type can be filtered by GB nations, England counties, England LVEPs, Scotland regions and Wales regions.
  • View either monthly, quarterly, or yearly data by using the date level filter at the top of each tab.
  • The base year and comparison year filter at the top of each table allow you to select from 2019, 2021 to 2025 to select two years to compare.
  • In all 3 data tabs, you’ll see buttons which you can toggle between to show different metrics like YoY growth, share by month, seasonality, ranking etc.
  • When a lower geographic is selected in the slicer for spend sub-category tables if there was no spending in a specific category the row will appear blank.
  • To reset the visualisation, click the filter button on the top left and then the eraser icon.
