  • The airline that serves the Taiwan to Britain route is China Airlines by Taipei to London Heathrow.

  • The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic led to a 47% reduction in direct seat capacity from Taiwan to the UK in 2020. In 2021 it was was 89% behind pre-COVID levels and in 2022 it was 49% behind pre-pandemic levels.

  • In 2023 direct seat capacity from Taiwan to the UK is set to recover to 95% of pre-pandemic (2019) seat capacity.

  • The current reduced rate of Air Passenger Duty for visitors departing Britain for Taiwan is £91.
