Accessibility and Sustainability in Yorkshire
Our England Director Andrew Stokes, visited North Yorkshire, the City of York and Leeds in October to look at accessibility and sustainability initiatives in the region.
Andrew met with stakeholders including North York Moors National Park, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, North Yorkshire Council, Make it York and Leeds Council to discuss sustainability and investment in the region.
He also met with Tracy Brabin, elected Mayor of West Yorkshire and Chair of the West Yorkshire LVEP, and businesses including York Gin, Clifford’s Tower, No1 Guesthouse, The Royal Armouries and Victorian Quarter, to find out more about their plans and how VisitEngland can support their roles in the visitor economy.
