With International associations having so many choices when it comes to potential destinations, making your destination stand out is key to success. Understanding associations’ objectives and how to be their partner and supporter is more and more crucial. In this workshop, we will cover how to make your destination uniquely attractive to associations, from creating your brand to tailoring the experience to the needs of the client.
On the first day, we will be discussing the importance of place branding, key industry strengths, partnerships and cross stakeholder engagement.
The second day will focus on how to get the right people to your destination by creating a memorable, informative and essentially the ‘not to miss’ destination experience. You will be shown how meeting design can be implemented to create this personal, tailored experience which will help you build global supporters and create more meaningful client relationships.
The session will be facilitated by Jane Cunningham who has held business development roles within a PCO, CVB and a conference centre, during whicht time she worked closely with international associations. since 2010, Jane has been working as a part time Director of International Associations for BestCities Global Alliance as well as consulting and advancing her career as a luminary, facilitator and a promoter of the societal impact of the business events industry to help advance cities.
