Our funding for 2020/21 announced

04 September 2019

The Government has today given its spending review statement and DCMS has confirmed the top line figures for our funding settlement for 2020/21.

We will receive an inflationary increase on our core budget for VisitBritain/VisitEngland in line with other arms’ length bodies. In addition, we are delighted that we have been allocated £5.45m for the Discover England Fund.  More details on the Fund will be available later this year.

The Government has also confirmed its commitment to continuing the GREAT campaign, with a total budget of £60 million. Whilst the allocation for tourism is still to be agreed, given the Government’s commitment to inbound tourism and our track record as an effective and trusted partner, we are confident that VisitBritain and tourism will continue to play a pivotal role in this campaign.

Our priority remains to make tourism one of the most successful and productive sectors for the economy and we look forward to working with you over the months ahead.
