The VisitEngland Quality Scheme for Pubs was developed in conjunction with the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) to provide pubs with an accreditation based on the quality of their service, welcome, food and cleanliness, and help to spread best practice and raise standards.
The scheme is open to all pubs, with or without accommodation, and will include a mystery visit from an experienced assessor.
The VisitEngland Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme offers accreditation to the 55 Racecourses in England and Wales. Developed in collaboration with the Racecourse Association, the scheme covers every element of a day at the races, from the customer service on arrival to the quality of food and drink and the knowledge and enthusiasm of all staff encountered during the visit. The scheme includes a mystery visit from an experienced assessor who will share best practice and provide support and advice to help the racecourse improve.
Racecourse Association Excellence Accolades are also available to racecourses which exceed expectations in a particular area, including Quality Café, Best Fast Food, Best Bar and Customer Service. For further information, contact email@example.com.
Motorway Service Areas
The VisitEngland Quality Assured Motorway Service Areas (MSA) Scheme offers star ratings to MSAs in England based on the quality of their facilities and customer service. Two mystery visits to each site are carried out each year and the assessor looks at the appearance of the site, the range of facilities available and the enthusiasm and knowledge of the staff.
Star ratings are awarded to all sites, with the highest 5-star rating reserved for those sites offering the highest standards throughout the visit.
Passenger Boat Scheme
The VisitEngland Passenger Boat Scheme was developed in collaboration with the Passenger Boat Association and British Marine, and offers accreditation to any operator offering tours or trips on England’s waterways. All operators will receive a mystery visit from one of VisitEngland’s Quality Assessors who will look at the arrival and boarding procedure, safety advice and customer service throughout, as well as the quality of any commentary provided on board. The assessor will also share best practice from their experience with other similar operators, as well as support and advice to improve the business.
