Business Events is a key contributor to the tourism mix and the international delegates attracted through events held in the UK bring significant spend and therefore strong economic impact.

This role is key in supporting the positioning of the UK as a business events and incentives destination through a strong international brand, effective campaigns, tailored content and PR, digital platforms, and social media.

Main purpose of the role

The Content & PR Executive will lead on the curation, creation and distribution of engaging content to promote the UK to the international meetings, events and incentives (MICE) market. The role holder is responsible for content distributing through the right channels at the right time – online and offline, owned, earned and paid – ensuring greatest possible reach and engagement.

You will be responsible for delivering the Business Events’ team’s PR and content strategy, achieving positive coverage of the UK in international MICE trade media, whilst maintaining both website and social media content. The objective of that is to acquire leads and requests for proposals which will contribute to VB/VEs aim of winning international business events for the UK.
