The British Tourist Authority (BTA) is the national tourism agency and a non-departmental public body funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), and trades under the name of VisitBritain/VisitEngland (VB/VE). 

VisitBritain and VisitEngland run a global marketing programme. Within this programme there are a portfolio of projects that all need to work in unison providing a structured global way of operating. This post involves overseeing and project managing the VisitBritain and VisitEngland Commonwealth Games tourism strand.

Main purpose of the role:

The main purpose of the role is to lead the VB/VE tourism aspect of the CWG programme, including PR, trade & marketing activities, to showcase Birmingham, West Midlands and England as domestic and international destinations building on the legacy of the Games.

This role will manage all elements to ensure the delivery against the CWG, VB/VE objectives and the input into wider tourism questions and solutions. This role will need to work closely across the marketing projects in order to integrate CWG into core and the domestic and international teams to ensure integration of CWG activity into wider marketing plans and maximise economies of scale.
