Of the 20,642 votes cast by the public on the Mirror website for the 10 finalists, Jim received 64%. Second place went to Sam Watling, Manager at Revolution Skatepark from Thanet Kent, and third to Alicia Stabler, AKA Mad Alice, from the Bloody Tour of York in York.
The announcement comes at the last weekend of a very successful English Tourism Week, which saw the hashtag #EnglishTourismWeek trend on Twitter on its third day.
English MPs also showed their support for the Week at a parliamentary drop-in session with Tourism Minister, Michael Ellis MP and VisitEngland, with a significant number also engaging with their constituencies on Constituency Day (Friday 23 March) and showcasing their support for their local regions and tourism attractions on Twitter.
Run in partnership with the Daily Mirror, Tourism Superstar recognises the dedication and passion of those working in the tourism industry and is awarded to an individual who goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure visitors to England have an unforgettable experience.
Thank you to everyone who voted in the competition.
