Celebrate your industry: English Tourism Week 2017

English Tourism Week 2017 will take place between 25 March and 2 April 2017. This is a week-long celebration of the quality and vibrancy of the thriving English Tourism industry, and now is your time to get creative, plan events and use English Tourism Week as a vehicle to kick start the season and promote your local tourism products.

Download the toolkit

To help you make the most of the week, we have created an English Tourism Week toolkit which contains a range of branded resources (from logos to templates, poster and PowerPoint designs to backgrounds) as well as guides on the types of event you could hold during the week to promote yourself. These are here to help you to market and promote your events and businesses to visitors, local residents, MPs, opinion formers and more.

Submit your events

Running special events during the week is a great way to reach new people in your area and throughout England. Our website www.EnglishTourismWeek.com is a way for consumers to see the wealth of events taking place, and this site will be promoted through our online, media and social media activity. In order to reach thousands of potential visitors, and have your events and offers included in our media and social media activity leading up to and including the week, just go to our www.visitengland.com/etw-event-submission and let us know the events that you will be holding during the week.

Nominate your Tourism Superstar

Finally, there is still time to nominate your Tourism Superstar for 2017.

Run in conjunction with our partner, the Daily Mirror, the campaign champions careers in, and promotes the quality, customer service and excellence of, England’s tourism industry. Finalists are nominated by businesses or their local DMO, with the public voting on the Mirror website for the winner who will be announced during English Tourism Week and receive their award during the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in April 2017.

Tourism Superstar however relies on your nominations. So, if you know a superstar, someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure visitors to England have an unforgettable experience, please contact Charlotte.Sanders@visitengland.org by 28 November.
