We have a number of other tools to help you promote your business, from footage and images to Facebook Apps:

  • Facebook Top 50 Places - The Top 50 UK Places app on our Facebook page Love UK is a global guestbook for Britain. It features an online leader board ranking UK places and attractions. Based on the number of people visiting a place and ‘checking-in’ on Facebook using their mobile device, it makes it easy for visitors to recommend places and attractions to friends and spread the word - it is now being used by thousands of consumers as an inspirational planning tool, before, during and after their trip to Britain.

  • Images and B-roll footage - Visit our media centre for a wide selection of B-roll footage, iconic images and news releases, to help you promote Britain. We have high definition footage available free of charge of many parts of Britain. You can use this material on your own website or in your promotional videos. All you need to do is register to download the materials.

  • How to embed the TV ad on your website - Our 'GREAT Britain You’re Invited' TV ad, launched in June 2011 aims to inspire people to visit Britain. The 60 second ad features celebrities such as Dame Judi Dench, Jamie Oliver, Dev Patel, Twiggy and Rupert Everett inviting the world to experience all that Britain has to offer. To view the ad click here. Share the advert on your own website or social media channels by following the easy steps below:

    - The first step is to click on the link (http://www.visitbritain.com/en/GB/)
    - Click on the “get code” button beneath the video
    - Select the copy code button in the middle of the video, this will then give you the HTML embed code that you require
    - Paste the HTML code into your website. This will create an embedded player and the video will play within your site when the user clicks the “Play” button.
