On 5 January 2011 the Prime Minister launched a partnership between VisitBritain and the travel and tourism sector at an event at Downing Street.
With match funding, we will make up a marketing fund of £100 million, across four years. The four-year marketing programme aims to enhance the UK’s position as one of the world’s leading destinations for international tourism. We intend to deliver four million extra visitors with £2 billion extra spent here by visitors.
