Sustainability

VisitBritain aims to ensure that its inbound marketing activities are defined under the World Tourism Organisation VICE principles: visitor satisfaction, industry profitability, community acceptance and environmental protection.

We are fully committed to developing a policy agenda that encompasses all relevant sustainable tourism issues. We are developing a strategy focused upon promoting sustainable businesses and encouraging responsible visitors. This strategy covers four main elements; greening VisitBritain’s own operations, marketing to promote sustainable consumer activity, supporting government sustainable development plans and supporting businesses to help them grow sustainably.
