Accommodation Search
Your accommodation needs to be quality accredited before it will appear on the site.  Contact your national quality accreditation scheme for more information if you are not currently accredited. If you are already accredited your listing should appear on the site – if you want to update it speak to your local/regional tourism partner.

Attractions & Events Search
Attractions & events can have a listing by contacting your local/regional tourism partner. VAQAS attractions are already listed.

Due to our own limited resources we are unable to help with individual coursework questions, however there is a wealth of information related to tourism statistics and facts on the site.  Also each of the individual national tourist boards (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland) have information related to their region. See our more resources section for further details.

All our information is available online. For information about Britain's history, population, climate, geography, government and the like, see http://www.visitbritain.co.uk/about-britain/.  For information on images look at VB Images. (www.visitbritainimages.com/index.html)  For information about VisitBritain, the organisation look at the About Us section.

The majority of our marketing is done online, so you can download and print a variety of images from www.britainonview.com or VisitBritain Images (www.visitbritainimages.com/index.html).  Maps of Britain and London are available to buy, see our publishing pages for more detail. 

VisitBritain's corporate site doesn’t handle these types of requests. But here’s how to find what you are looking for. In Britain there are numerous Tourist Information Centres (TICs) offering ideas and advice.  Alternatively there is a wealth of information on the consumer website – available in many different languages.

For general information about travel to Britain (passports, ID, visas, travel documents for children, travelling with prescription medication, etc.), see http://www.visitbritain.co.uk/about-britain.

You're currently on our corporate site, not our consumer site. VisitBritain promotes Britain internationally, and hte majority of our marketing is done online. There's information on www.visitbritain.com, as well as on twitter and facebook.  if you are a domestic visitor contact the national tourist board for the area you wish to visit.

All our vacancies are advertised in the careers section.  Employment applications both for specific jobs and speculative CVs should be made through our online forms.

We are a marketing organisation and do not provide grants, subsidies or funding for new business, products or services. We can however offer some advice on setting up a tourism business and recommend you also look at Business Link (www.businesslink.gov.uk) – a free business advice and support service, available online and through local advisers.

Some regional development agencies provide grants, contact them directly for more details.

Our logo is really important to us. Comprising the union flag graphic device with the word "VisitBritain", it is the property of VisitBritain and cannot be reproduced without our specific prior approval.

Examples where use of our logo is permitted:

  • If you are a news organisation writing about us or one of our activities
  • If we are sponsoring an activity or speaking at your event

It is our policy that our logo be used without modification and in an appropriate manner. Examples of prohibited use include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Any implication of endorsement by us or our activities
  • Commercial uses (e.g. placement of the logo on product packaging)
  • Combination of our logo with another logo.

We reserve the right to stop you from using our logo if we do not consider its use to be appropriate.
